THE ANIMALS
Daisy May
Highway hitchhiker turned farm sweetheart—this Husky–Mini Aussie mix now helps watch over the livestock at Muddy Meadows!
Mama Cows
Our Black Angus mama cows, paired with our Wagyu bull, raise some of the most flavorful, tender beef around—bringing the best of both breeds right to your plate.
The Guardians
Our pack of six Anatolian-Pyrenees dogs are the heart of Muddy Meadows’ security team. Loyal, calm, and fearless, they protect our pigs day and night—gentle giants with a serious job.
Pasture Pigs
Our pasture-raised English Heritage Berkshires are sweet, social pigs who love belly rubs and back scratches—happy pigs make the best pork!
Webster
He is first in line to love you! Webster was one of our city dogs that moved with us to the country. He loves barking at nothing, creating drama where there is none, and treats.
Barn Kitties
We have 5 barn cats who roam the homestead: Salem is the top mouser, Izzie loves to chat, Grace is the princess, Piper is a spaz, and Oliver is our rescue kitten.
Skye
Our registered purebred Mini Jersey and proud mama to Nala, Skye provides rich, creamy A2A2 milk and keeps the barn running with her gentle spirit.
Nala
A purebred Mini Jersey born right here on the farm, Nala is Skye’s calf and full of charm. Small in size, big on sweetness!
The Girls
Our feisty, sometimes broody flock of laying hens keep us entertained and well-fed with their delicious, golden-yolked eggs.
Shawn and Lola
Our mischievous Hampshire sheep are escape artists and expert troublemakers—sneaking into coops and pens like it’s their job. Lucky for them, they’re way too cute to stay mad at!
Maggie
Maggie’s a city dog turned homestead sentinel. She sticks close to Webster, keeps a sharp eye on the property, and never misses a chance to alert us—loudly—when someone drops by.
THE FARM
Megan
Megan, co-owner of Pepper May Farms with her husband Blake, is a passionate animal lover who believes great meat starts with exceptional care—from day one to the dinner table.
Blake
Blake co-owns Pepper May Farms with his wife Megan. He loves the outdoors and takes pride in caring for the animals—ideally from the seat of a tractor.
The Kiddos
We left the city for our farm in East Texas to give our kids a chance to connect with nature and learn the value of hard work. They jumped right in and now proudly shoulder many of the daily chores.
Ryon Cox
Ryon (of Cox Concrete) is our concrete and ranching pro, known for his jokes, surprise animals, and showing up when we need help most.
Michael
An incredible father who’s always there when ranch work calls. He works quietly behind the scenes, solves problems like a pro, and doesn’t act his age—he works like he’s 25.
